The Oaks Tabernacle
4302 Joe Sanchez Road
Plant City, Fl 33565

The Oaks Tabernacle was made up of a group of pentacostal or holy roller type people in the early 1900's. Around 1920 the church became a Church of God and later moved into Plant City. When they sold the property some of the bodies were moved to Betleham Cemetery. The new owners were unable to obtain permission to move Myra Lanier Rogers and her granddaughter so they are still there in the front yard of a very nice home owned by the Fletcher Family. There are 2 graves. Myra Lanier Rogers's grave marker has rotted away but her granddaughter, Mary Iris Dykes's marker is in good shape still. Mary Iris only lived three brief years.
